One Small Business, Two Countries, and a Bigger Calling — Devin Harwell
Podcasts · Faith at Work · Purpose in the Everyday
Devin Harwell uses his Denver manufacturing company to fund second chances, support women in Sierra Leone, and model faith that turns everyday work into kingdom impact.
For more than 25 years, Devin Harwell has led R&R Millwork with a simple conviction: business is not separate from discipleship.
That belief took root through pain, loss, and an unlikely friendship with Sister Maureen, a Catholic nun who helped him move from a legalistic faith to a deeply relational one.
Devin runs a 30-person wood and metal manufacturing company in Denver while keeping relationships at the center of everything he does.
He talks about the ups and downs of the business, how COVID forced the company to become leaner, and why he hires men coming out of prison and gives them a real shot at rebuilding their lives.
A painful trip to Sierra Leone became the beginning of Salone Rising and Mama Land, a charity that funds microenterprise training, supports orphaned girls, and helps families build a future.
